The Archive in Numbers


An estimate of 18,000 boxes (30w x 42l x 25h) cm, with paper based documents. The documents in this part of the archives are mainly handwritten. The boxes keep blue binders (33h x 21w), grey binders (20w x 31h), cahiers (21wx30h), notebooks (13-17w x 20-21h) and folders (24w x 35h) containing loose papers (mainly A4). One full box can contain around 2,000 pages and between 35 and 40 binders/cahiers/notebooks.


This part of the archives consists of 451 boxes (32w x 43l x 25h) filled with reports and 42 huge boxes (50w x 90l x 60h) with binders, and other written documents kept on 95 shelves – each shelf is 1m long and contains 11 binders, which makes a total of 1,045 binders.


The audiovisual collection contains materials in the form of DVDs (around 14,250 DVDs – stored in 95 big drawers), VHS tapes (385), magnetic tapes (18) and digital tapes (including 580 DV cam and 2m of digital video cassettes). Additionally, the collection holds CDs (101), audiotapes (75), and floppy disks (152).
